Water damage is the most frequent cause for a claim to be made on a home insurance policy.  This type of damage usually falls under the heading of Escape of Water in your policy booklet.

The most common causes of water damage are leaks from your heating system, hot water cylinder, attic storage tanks, hot and cold water supply pipes, etc.
